: o, is it to pick up someone that one goes to a nude beach? I thought this was more about passive discreet looking , and a chance to shed one's own inhibitions and enjoy some sensuous contact with mother nature.
Personally, the one time I have gone to a nude beach I felt very good about it. I didnt feel like a perv, looking at people, since I myself was nude. It was very relaxing, not exciting, really. It felt quite different than "checking out people" in a club, bar or other sexually charged situation.
I guess that it's hard to overcome how some of us are brought up by our parents. If this weren't the case, then we would be psychologically healthier as a society, and there would probably not be as much of a porn industry, as
well as the usual "candals" that make the news.
In the end, though, some things may be better left to the imagination. Plain nudity may paradoxically be less stimulating than clad, voyeuristic behavior.
Sometimes looking at naked people makes one wonder what all the mystery is about sex, after all. The human body is quite imperfect. Nudism, I feel, may make us feel less repressed in this sexually repressed culture we still cannot shake off.
Just a thought.
