I can provide some rough directions to the public entrance to Secret Beach. From Lihue where the main airport is located, go north on the one highway which follows the coast toward Princeville. Don't remember the number of the highway but there is only one. You will pass a town called Kapaa, a small place called Anahola and later a very small town/village called Kilauea where the lighthouse is located. You can't see the lighthouse from the road but that is what the village is known for and it's worth a visit. You can actually see a panoramic view of Secret Beach from the lighthouse but you can't get to the beach from there. Continue on past Kilauea on the main highway but start looking for Kalihiwai Road on the right. My recollection is that it's 2-3 miles past Kilauea. There are actually two places where Kalihiwai Road intersects the main highway and you want to take the first one. Turn right on Kalihiwai Road, drive a short distance and you will see a dirt drive/road which turns off to the right and has fields on the right side and houses on the left. Go to the end of this dirt road and park. There will usually be a few vehicles there. Follow the trail around the edge of the trees to the left. As I recall, it's perhaps 150 yards and then a trail goes down through the woods to the beach. Secret Beach is a beautiful beach and stretches perhaps a mile back toward the lighthouse. At low tide you can get around the rocks and walk most of the way. It's worth a visit and it's definitely clothing optional regardless of the local laws. There is not a single sign marking the way to Secrets and no sign identifying it when you get there. Guess that's why it's called Secret Beach.
