my 2 cents here..
I really like the "test" page cocco has posted eventually that will be great..
but it should be open for ALL to contribute and update. If you look at the numbers there are a LOT more people who know / can contribute to the database than if you just have contributors. In addition, I am sure a lot of contributors would really not like to draw attnetion to themselve, and they may feel that if they say exactly where / when they were at the beach that they may be identified a bit easier. remember most want to stay anyonoymous to not only their subjects, but also to the several hundred others that are at the beach at the same time. So non-contributor "beach reports" may be easier to get than reports from contributors.
: : I think Howard has the answer here! Encourage all contributors to include an informational event report when they submit their galleries. Pictures speak for themselves regarding visitors to a beach, or participants in an event, but any useful details regarding best times to go, recommended local hotels or camping, transportation, etc. would eventually create a detailed guide for interested visitors.
: It's like pulling teeth unfortunately to even get the most basic report.
: We are working toward a system where people get "coccobeans" instead of some vague amount of access time. Adding information to a submission will increase the value of the submission. That might work.
