What about some sort of Wiki? As Brad pointed out, the community really enjoys adding information about their experiences. Perhaps a volunteer army could begin the process by looking over the past postings and formatting them as Wiki.

Then again, I'm not completely on top of technology, and if a wiki server isn't a simple - or freely available item, then this is a moot point.

: : I'd love to see a website that has consistent information that can compare these beaches.

: Yes, it is our ambition to eventually provide this not only for beaches but also resorts, hot springs etc AND events.

: However it is a HUGE undertaking. With the new site design we have a built-in database to start this. Every gallery has to have a specific location associated with it. Each location can have cells associated with it which can be filled with whatever info we want.

: This link takes you to a page which is a prototype for the exact thing you are talking about. Right now it is manually created. But eventually there will be more info on the page and it will be dynamically shown pulling info out of a database. You will be able to link to all galleries from that location and vice versa.

: Preparing all this is inch by inch because there are so many other priorities first. Really there is no one to do it. We are all busy. When we do have time we try to continue moving archive galleries into the database, another HUGE task that will go on forever if we don't put a big push on it.

: We will do the same with events.

: Once we have our user database done we may be able to allow customers to make updates and build the database in a kind of wiki fashion. How does that sound? I think it is the only way given the masses of info that need to be compiled. I think it would take 20 people working every day for 10 years to do all the locations in the world in the detail proposed.
