oh yes they sure do, I was filming on MIAMIBEACH the other day and was stopped and questioned, after I asked the policeofficer if he was asking or demanding me to indentify myself I handed over my ID from the VA. He even asked if what i filmed ended up on the NET, I gave him my answer and I hope he joins....lol
Well I went further I got a SGT from the MIAMIBEACH police on the phone and he told me this in part. If I video on SOUTHBEACH and a female passes what I am filming and is naked while doing so. Not only can she be charged with a crime, that in fact so could I for vidoeing it. I know for a fact this is not the truth but at the time didnt question it, he also stated he was surprised that my tape were not taken by the police at the time of questioning, "news at 11PM" hold on to all your hats. now with what you posted I will surely follow up.
OH hell....i hope he reads this!
P.S. i almost forgot, this same cop a few yrs back told me I was close to breaking the "stalking law" what i told him was in so many words, "give me a break", it wasnt stalking and he knew it.
: There was also an interesting segment of a cop wrongfully beating up a guy with other cops demanding that the guy videotaping the episode turn his camera and film over to the cops. The narrator stated that cops nor other authorities cannot lawfully confiscate such tapes as the guy videotaping the escapade was within his legal rights to do so, and that anyone can videotape or take photos in public places.
: If a tape becomes needed evidence for whatever reason, tapes can be seized through subpoenas, but due process must first occur, ergo, a cop can't simply walk up to someone and rightfully yell "gimme your film!". This of course doesn't mean they don't do that.
