Before Hanlan's Point was approved, Beechgrove got more use, rarely more than a handful of folks on a warm weekend. It IS illegal in Toronto. The beach is on the other side of a railway bridge crossing a small river and you have to cross that bridge and hope a GO train does not hit you. The area on the side facing the beach was developed a few years ago with a paved bike path and so now the general public frequently passes in an area that has a good view of the beach. Also, the passing communter train has a good view of the beach. I once stood there au naturel and waved at all the passengers as they passed. A few waved back. But this is conservative Onatio so you are risking handcuffs. Go to Hanlan's Point.
