These WNBR rides are really hit or miss. Anyone planning on covering one- do some research! The turnout varies enormously. Small towns can have great turnouts. Big cities can have lousy turnouts. San Francisco and Seattle, two big cities on the west coast, had much smaller turnouts than Portland, a relatively small city.
Having covered a few naked bikes, they are difficult as public nudity events go. Photogs must be prepared and be at the right place and the right time. Shoot in continous mode. Shoot big pics you can crop later. And get in shape - you may have to run a little :)
Finally - the best pics are often before and after the rides. All I can say is if you just show up without knowing the route, without pretraving the route, assessing parking, sun angle, crowd size, babe turnout, and pit stops (for both you and the bikers), you may end up without much in the way of useful pics.
If anyone would like more advice/pics from specific rides, let me know. They are definately well worth covering, but success is in no way guaranteed.
