I've been to Haarlam as well. I love Haarlam...it is a quiet town when compared to Amsterdam, quaint, and the people are very blonde and very friendly. I dated a girl there, who was insecure because she thought she was just a "common" person working in the fields picking floweres. My GOD, over in the US she'd been one of those stunning beach bunny blondes with a hot body with Girls-Gone-Wild camermen chasing her.
It's amazing how many spoke English too. Don't forget to go into one of their chocolate houses/stores...
: Sauna Deco is good but you really should try the Sauna van Egmond in Harlaam. Harlaam is a short 20 minute trail riade from A'dam and the trip is worth the effort. A great staff, outstanding massage therepists ( ask for Dorothy), and a full array of all the fantastic Dutch sauna stations, including a very nice pool. You won't regret it.
