That's the question. I believe it wanted to be the Hedonism for the Pacific Coast, and thus have a unique aspect over the much more competitive resorts a couple of hundred miles to the south in Cabo.
But economics just weren't there. I know there was a challenge with commercial aircraft making it to Loreto, and had one flight a day from LAX. But if the flights won't go, it's a terribly long hall up from Cabo. I have driven and ridden buses in the back country of Mexico, and it is pretty damned tough. What would take you 3 hours in the US will take you at least 12 in Baja/Mexico.
It would be wonderful for their to be a Cap d'agde type environment. But I think we all know it is a pure economic decision as to what it will be. I believe the condos won't be nude for that reason, but would like to be pleasantly surprised.
