I found out they did open Gunnison beach on Sunday some time around noon. I was there on Monday...the beach was open, but not the parking lot. You had to park at North Beach and walk down. There was a lake up near the boardwalk running the whole length of the dunes in the back. So I can tell you, the beach will be open, but I wouldn't count on the lot being open.
