: : : : : Will be in Manhattan next week, Wed. evening. What's my best bet for a potential place to be nude for a while? Spa 88, 10th St Baths? Anywhere else?
: : : : Hi...
: : : : I was lucky to attend an all nude event at Wall st. baths/Spa 88 in 2002.
: : But since then they have changed policy.
: : As for 10th st. baths, don't go blatantly nude, unless you want to deal with tough looking Russian weight lifters. Good luck. Paul
: Does anyone know why the change in policy? I heard that Spa 88 used to permit topfree as well as 10th St Baths, but with exception of in-sauna massages at 10th St I haven't seen any topfree use. What is the issue with having a co-ed clothing-optional time- not full-time though, not everyone is into it- at these places? It's not illegal as long as its primary purpose isn't promoting blatant sexual activity. From what I've read, both of these places are good candidates for a c/o time (maybe one weekend afternoon/ evening) but the owners seem to be against it. What will it take to get a co-ed, clothing optional place that is not seen as only a hook-up spot (like the old gay bathhouses, which I think may have started the negativity on this issue)? I'm still looking for one, because I know how great it feels to sit alone in Spa 88's hot tub with my suit off, but it would be nice if I could do it without worries so I could really relax.
: : Amen to that. But I've just about given up. Who'd have thought that the most cosmopolitan city in the entire US would be so prudish?
