Man, this is such a weird series of questions.
Speaking as someone who has done exactly what he's planning on doing (I was in town on business so I thought I'd drop in and try out my new camera), I have some advice:
SUCK IT UP AND GET NAKED. The very least you can do is put yourself into the environment in exchange for these pictures. Reguardless of how you feel toward sharing pictures on the internet, it's much worse if you stand around fully dressed taking pictures of people who are just trying to enjoy the sun.
Therefore, go, enjoy the sun, swim around, and then sneak a few shots.
And one more thing, if this is your first time shooting, don't expect anything great, so enjoy your time there. It's one of the world's best beaches in my opinion (although I'd give my right arm to get back to Wreck on a beautiful summer weekend again...)
PS, sorry about my flip attitude, but really, when in rome and all that...
