: I am going to Florida in a couple weeks and am going to go to Haulover to check it out. I would love to take some pics while I'm there to send in for Cocco to post. Are you allowed to take cameras onto the beach? I don't want to bring my camera with me if it will be confiscated.
: Also, I will probably take off my suit but will need to warm up to it. Are the beachgoers hostile to visitors wearing suits?
: Thanks to everyone for your comments.
KSU...Nice to see they finally wired your cave for Internet.
Are you allowed to take cameras onto the beach? Last I heard there was no law saying you couldn't. As on a clothed beach...ask the persons permission first. If they punch you in the nose or bust up your equipment...use Plan B...hide the cam somehow. Wrap it in a towel, wrap it in a t-shirt, conceal it in your beach bag. Give it a go...members will appreciate your contribution. Thats how you enjoy all the great work here at this site.
As far as taking off your suit....it's called a "clothing optional" beach. Optional being the key word. I know at Haulover or Sandy Hook beaches you will be of the 5% minority or so still clothed....but no one will harass you. People might eyeball you more then the nude bathers, so be extra careful filming while in your suit. After you adjust...drop suit, drop the lens cap...and fire away.
